Abstract:The Government of India has ratified seven POPs on 7 October 2020, and paved the way for elimination of these chemicals. The national implementation process is ongoing. This document gives a snapshot of these seven new POPs with regard to their characteristics, uses, exposure routes, health impacts, regulations as well as alternatives.
