Abstract:The new report highlights the presence of Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals (EDCs) in food packaging materials. This report has been prepared based on the most published research studies and data from India and across the globe. Moreover, the study has pointed out the gaps and challenges on the management of EDCs in packaging material and the critical need to manage these chemicals at the upstream and downstream level considering the recycling potential of the food packaging materials and the growing thrust on the circular economy. The study has also discussed the alternative available to replace these EDCs.
