The Convention promotes shared responsibility, informed decision-making, and cooperation between importing and exporting countries. This factsheet provides an overview of the Convention, its objectives, the misunderstandings that lead to counties resisting the addition of new chemicals to the Convention and the implications of these misunderstandings.
