The research studies claim that manmade chemicals have the potential impact on the endocrine system and may influence with the development process of humans and wildlife species. These chemicals are mostly termed as the Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals (EDCs). EDCs have been suspected to be associated with the altered reproductive function in males and females; increased incidence of breast cancer, abnormal growth patterns and neurodevelopment delays in children, as well as changes in immune function.
In this context Toxics Link, an environmental NGO working on the chemical safety issue India as well as in South Asian countries is organizing a one day Regional Conference of the concerned stakeholders involving the international experts, doctors, regulators, industries, NGOs academicians from the South Asian region to flag up the issues for the region.
A conference is being organized by Toxics Link on Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals on 4th February 2016, Juniper Hall India Habitat Center, New Delhi with the following objectives
