Sahil is working as a Programme Officer in The Waste & Sustainability team and is involved in research and policy work on issues relevant to plastic pollution, electronic waste, circular economy, sustainable consumption, and production.

He has completed his Master’s in Ecology, Environment, and Sustainable Development from The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) in Guwahati and did his graduation in English Literature from Delhi University. Sahil is keen on working in the field of urban ecology as he believes that the rate at which we humans are advancing without any consideration for the environment or the consequences that follow is worrisome. Education and awareness to him is the most crucial part of bringing about a change in the mindset of the people and together with collective efforts he thinks that we can aim for a better future.

Sahil is a keen graffiti hunter. He enjoys photography and editing and during his free time, Sahil loves to go on nature treks, photo walks, and read murder mystery novels as he is an ardent fan of Alfred Hitchcock.
