Abstract: How safe is the food we eat? It is really a food for thought. Our food is contaminated with heavy metals and chemicals, which even cause genetic disorders in human beings. We cannot prevent all food from contamination. But we can save ourselves from the impact of contamination to some extent by being careful about our eating habits. The Fact sheet discusses various aspects of food safety with a gender perspective.
