Significant Presence of Microplastics Detected in River Ganga from Haridwar, Kanpur and Varanasi: Study
The Ganga river is polluted with multiple kinds of plastic, with the highest concentration at Varanasi, a new study by Toxics Link has found. Besides, a high presence of microplastics was found from the samples collected from Haridwar, Kanpur and Varanasi.

A huge amount of effort is being put into menstrual hygiene management, but the subject of menstrual waste is often ignored. Little attention is being paid into the emerging concerns of health and environmental cost of menstrual waste. Thus, we feel it is important to understand and highlight this issue through a closer lens and try finding sustainable solutions to this problem.
