Have you ever wished that you could…

  • Work in an energised, exciting environment, with a team willing to be on the edge?
  • Do something that makes a difference to people’s lives?
  • Bring your passion, enthusiasm and energy to the workplace?
  • Be a part of significant change-making to the world at large?

Toxics Link, an environmental NGO founded in 1996, is looking for volunteers such as you. It is one of the few organisations in India providing an information link and research-based action for a greater impact at policy and grassroots level. Toxics link has unique expertise in the areas of hazardous, medical and municipal wastes, as well as in specific issues such as food safety, and the emerging issues of pesticides and POPs. It has implemented various best practice models and helped scale them and share them nationwide.

As a volunteer with Toxics Link, you will not be slotted into rigid roles. Based your skill sets and interests, you could be doing any of the following:

  • Project-based primary and secondary research on the various themes.
  • Community mobilisation on model community waste management project in Delhi.
  • Developing creative presentations for the programme teams.
  • Writing articles on various environmental issues for our publications.
  • Event management (coordinate training programmes, environmental film screenings, photo exhibitions, public lectures, etc).

Toxics Link engages in raising environmental awareness in the country and in bringing grassroot realities to the fore. We network, campaign and exchange information with several hundred groups and individuals spread nationally, on toxic and waste issues. Our tools for efficient action are campaigning, education, policy analysis, research and training.

Your sojourn at Toxics Link will provide you with a lively and both practical and theoretical insight into the environmental movement. You will have the chance of working on critical environmental and health issues and enhance your professional skills!

If you feel your passion and commitment can make a difference to the way we live, we would be happy to count you as part of this global people’s movement. We promise that the time you will spend with us will be both a great learning as well as fun experience.
