Workshop on E-waste 'System failure: Time to Reboot' in New Delhi

It's been four years since the E-waste Rules, 2011 came into force in India, yet the nothing much has changed on the ground. Is it because of some gaps in the rules or have the regulatory agencies been lax? Are there gaps in collection mechanism or lack of awareness among the general public is the reason behind mismanagement of e-waste?

To find some answers and solutions to these critical questions, Toxics Link organized a workshop on 25th March at IIC, New Delhi. Various recommendations and suggestions were put on the table by various stakeholders.
