NOIDA, July 19, 2012: After receiving directions from the National Green Tribunal order of July 13, the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UPPCB) has initiated an inspection of air-polluting industries in Noida. Around 25 industries will be inspected by the regional office of the UPPCB in Gautam Budh Nagar. The board will submit a compliance report to the tribunal on the standards maintained by environment pollution control devices installed in these industries.

Chennai, May 17, 2012: The Chennai Corporation will explore the possibility of setting up of a new solid waste management facility in Uthukottai in Tiruvallur district.
