International Workshop on Designing Take Back Systems for E-waste on 11th December 2012.

E-waste is a critical waste issue globally due to increasing consumerism and rapid technological advancement. India is also facing a daunting task of handling high volumes of e-waste from its domestic generation. The crisis is deepened due to prevalent unscientific recycling in the unorganized sector. Improper handling and disposal of the toxic waste led the policy-makers to come up with a separate e-waste rules which was notified in 2011 and came into force on 1st May 2012.

E-Waste Management in Gurgaon

Gurgaon, in last decade or so, has emerged as a major business center, being part of the National Capital Region. Many corporates, business houses, including BPOs, Banks, IT companies have their office in Gurgaon, which is now one of the India’s prime information technology and IT-enabled service hubs.
