Roundtable Meeting on 'Compliance Mechanism for Reduction in the Use of Hazardous Substances'

According to the E-waste Rules, 2011, all electronic products sold in Indian market has to be RoHS (Reduction in the use of Hazardous Substances) complaint by May 2014. Hence there is a need for a compliance mechanism to be in place for effective implementation of RoHS criteria.

With this objective, Toxics link organized a one day roundtable meeting on “Compliance Mechanism for RoHS” to facilitate discussion among various stakeholders to deliberate upon the mechanism required to enforce RoHS compliance. The meeting provided a platform for convergence of thoughts and ideas which could help the country come up with an effective system.
