Rashmi is employed as a Programme Officer in Waste & Sustainability team at Toxics Link, Delhi.
Prior to joining Toxics Link, she had worked with Centre for Science and Technology of the Non-Aligned and Other Developing Countries (NAM S&T Centre); National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA), and WWF-India, wherein her work proposition incorporated comprehending R&D in STI Policies and South-South Cooperation in Climate Change sector; Sustainable Waste Management concerns in India and study of Landuse & Land cover via Remote Sensing and GIS in North District of Goa, respectively.
Her educational qualification entails Graduation in Life Sciences from Miranda House, University of Delhi; M.Sc in Environment Management from GGSIPU and PG Diploma in International Environmental Law from ISIL, New Delhi. Her Masters’ thesis delved into Contemporary Solid Waste Management Practices and its impact on Nilgai habitat of Asola Wildlife Sanctuary in Delhi. She was also selected as a LEADearth Fellow(2015), nominated for (RIS-MEA) ITEC ‘Science Diplomacy' course in 2017& is a Member of the Global Advisory Committee for 'Disaster Risk Reduction & Prevention Management' at University of Madras, Chennai. Furthermore, she has many national & international research paper publications in peer reviewed books & journals to her credit in the domain of Land Management & Urban Sprawl, Public Policy, Marine exigencies and International Relations.
At Toxics Link, she is presently engaged in weaving the multi-dynamics of Bio-medical Waste Management practices through data analysis, research and information synthesis.
