Priti is working as Senior Programme Coordinator at Toxics Link.
Priti is a Physics (Hons) graduate from Calcutta University. After her graduation she worked in the corporate world for eight years, before moving on to the development sector. She was briefly associated with an NGO, Pravah, involved in promoting social responsibility among young adults. Priti's quest for learning and giving something back to society brought her to Toxics Link. Priti joined Toxics Link in the year 2003. She has been involved on the issue of Bio medical waste, Mercury and E-waste. Her engagements include research, advocacy, training, networking and awareness creation on the issue. Priti has also been earlier involved in research, training and strategy implementation of programmes related to bio-medical waste management and mercury. A photography enthusiast, Priti has learnt classical dance (Bharatanatyam) and creative dancing from the Ananda Shankar School of Dancing and is currently pursuing Odissi.
Key role: Priti is working as Senior Programme Coordinator in the Clean Industry team in Toxics Link. She has been working on the issue of Electronic Waste for last five years and has been part of various assessment and field studies on E-waste. She has been deeply involved in researching various aspects of E-waste issue in India and has been also following the International initiatives on the same. She has been also very actively involved in policy advocacy.
