Piyush is working as Programme Coordinator in Environmental Equity and Justice Programme.
Piyush has done M.Sc in Botany with specialization in Environmental Toxicology from Berhampur University, Odisha. After completing his post graduation, he was associated with some grass root organizations on biodiversity issues in tribal districts of Odisha. Latter he moved to Delhi to pursue his LLB from Campus Law Center, Faculty of Law. After a brief stint in a corporate law firm, he moved to development sector and worked with Gene Campaign for three years. During his tenure at Gene campaign he was involved on various policy issues concerning intellectual property issues and Genetically Modified (GM) technology. He joined Toxics Link in the year 2006. He has represented various international and national level meetings on the environmental issues. Piyush has recently visited USA under the prestigious International Visitors Leadership Program (IVLP) of US Govt, "Department of State".
Key role: Piyush is working as Programme Coordinator in Toxics Link. He is coordinating the EEJP programme, an initiative of The Just Environment Charitable Trust (Toxics Link) and South Asia work of International PoPs Elimination Network (IPEN). In addition, he is also involved in doing research concern to Toxics Link programme areas.
