Toxics Link is an environmental NGO, dedicated to bringing toxics related information into the public domain, both relating to struggles and problems at the grassroots as well as global information to the local levels. We work with other groups around the country as well as internationally in an understanding that this will help bring the experience of the ground to the fore, and lead to a more meaningful articulation of issues. Toxics Link also engages in on-the ground work especially in areas of municipal, hazardous, medical, e-waste, plastic waste and management and food safety among others. Working in networks, utilising community outreach and education, policy analysis, research, training and program development, we work at the state and central levels to help create solutions, which are driven by the needs of people. We are also involved in a wider range of environmental issues in Delhi and outside as part of a coalition of non-governmental organizations.

 

JOB PROFILE

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • To devise specific strategies for program development and implementation.
  • To develop specific campaigns on environmental issues, engage with policy analysis and advocacy. 
  • Ability to plan and implement projects on Bio medical waste management and Mercury management in healthcare facilities across the country.
  • To undertake independent research on environmental issues, analyze information and data.
  • To conceive and organize training and capacity building workshops of national, regional and international levels.
  • To engage with stakeholders and partners at each level and build networks
  • To represent Toxics Link in various national and international fora.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Should be post-graduate in Biotechnology/ Micro biology /bachelors in dentistry  from a recognized university.
  • Should have minimum three years of working experience in the development sector, previous experience in environmental sector(Bio medical waste Management) will be an advantage
  • Possess excellent communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills andbe a team player.
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning skills
  • Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities :

 

Monitoring of books of accounts on daily basis.

Preparation of Annual Budget. MIS reporting. timely reporting to Donors.

Prepare cash flow and fund flow.

Implementation of internal checks and sound in-house financial systems.

Preparation of Trial Balance and Annual balance sheet.

Facilitating in statutory Audits/ Donor Audits

Advice management on sound investment options.

Salary management of staff.

Advice Director on all matters relating to Finance.

 

Qualification / Skills

Applicants should be Post graduates in commerce/ CA with a minimum of 3 years experience in the functions described above, experience of having worked in NGO will be an added advantage.

Knowledge of GST regulations and FCRA essential, PF, TDS and Income Tax rules.

Experience with use of Tally is essential.

Strong computer skills.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
