According to the E-waste Rules, 2011, all electronic products sold in Indian market are to be RoHS (Reduction in the use of Hazardous Substances) complaint by May 2014. Hence there is a need for a compliance mechanism to be in place for effective implementation of RoHS criteria .
Toxics Link, an environmental NGO which has been engaged on the issue of E-waste for more than a decade feels the need to facilitate a discussion among various stakeholders to deliberate upon the mechanism required to enforce RoHS compliance. This will also provide clarity on how producers may demonstrate compliance with its requirements. With this objective, we are organizing a roundtable meeting on 25th March 2014
Venue :Maple, Habitat World in India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi.
Date :25th March 2014
